Special Agent Luna Roosberg lives and breathes her job. Who needs a personal life when work is so rewarding?
When a new case sends her to investigate a local motorcycle club, covering as the president’s new flavor of the week, the lines between professional and personal quickly start to blur.

Although the Arrow’s Edge MC stays mostly on the right side of the law since Ouray took the gavel, the appearance of the feds at their gate can still rattle his cage.
When a string of robberies points squarely in Ouray's direction, he’s forced to cooperate and put the blonde, prim and proper half-pint on the back of his bike.

With pressure mounting both in—and outside—the club, Ouray no longer knows who he can trust, except the woman who is shaking up his life—and stirring his blood.

Favorite Quotes:

On my best day, I’m not the most sociable person, and this afternoon required me to use up my quota of nice for the week.

I swear the man is probing for my tonsils, his tongue is so far down my throat, and all I can do is go along for the ride.

I’ve turned to putty in her hands. Lovesick bastard. Never thought I’d catch that particular disease, but here I am, gaining on fifty and drinking the Kool-aid, so to speak.

I’ve always been clear on what I don’t want— so it doesn’t take a lot for me to know when what’s in front of me is exactly what I’ve been holding out for.

My Review:

I was engaged and engrossed in this intriguing and entertaining tale of romantic suspense featuring an uptight and petite FBI agent with something to prove and a burly MC club President with a soft heart for street urchins and ugly dogs. Sounds like a highly unlikely pairing but they were tossed together when a string of violent robberies appeared to be framing Ouray and the MC and Luna was the best choice as the agent to send undercover. The line between professional and personal was quickly smudged and gradually blurred before being totally erased. But, really, how could she resist a big-hearted and magnetically sexy man who rescued children and handled her with wizened respect, patience, and sizzling hot kisses?

I adored this sassy couple as well as the large group of likable and oddly compelling secondary characters on both sides of the law. The multiple storylines were active and cunningly paced while taunting and stimulating my curiosity with cleverly contrived suspense when all the while a steamy romance and sweet rescue of a preteen runaway with his own special needs were progressing right along. Freya Barker just gets better and better.

I'm a such a sucker for a story that saves kids, which is one of the reasons I am a hug fan of the Arrow's Edge MC. This biker club helps foster boys off the street to teach them how to grow up, be a good man, and what it's like when others have your back. You'll get more of this in their spinoff series, but this was the first we got to see this happen when Rock Point and the Arrow's Edge MC series collided.

Rock Point series is following the FBI team and this is Special Agent Luna's story. Her and Ouray, the MC president, met in the previous book. You immediately saw the sparks flying between these two so it was no surprise to see they would get their own book.

Like the two worlds coming together in Hwy 550, we also have two stories unfolding. That of the little boy, Cody, the club saved off the streets and Luna's story. They both have had a similar trauma that creates a connection between these two that were just as compelling as the connections Luna was forming with Ouray when she works with the MC to find the culprits behind a series of robberies and assaults who are framing the club.

I don't want to give too much away, so all I'm gonna say is both stories and the romance really tugged on my heart. This made for one of my favorites books in all of the series I've read from this author. I liked the differences between Ouray and Luna and how well they fit together despite how different their worlds were. It's not everyday you see an MC club form a bond with an FBI team. Freya Barker really made it work and made it make sense.

I've read this book out of order and after reading the newer series Arrow's Edge MC so I went into this book already knowing most of these side characters. Not once did I feel like this book was spoiled from reading out of order. So that answers any question of whether you can read these books as standalone.

12/7/22 - Relisten before this leaves Audible Plus on 12/20. I still love this book. Luna & Ouray are probably one of my fav book couples ever.

3/11/2022 - This is book 3 in the Rock Point series. While you don’t have to listen to the first two books to enjoy this, I’d recommend it. Especially since Luna is in both and she meets Ouray in book 2. Series is definitely best enjoyed in order.

CW (contains spoilers)
Normally I put these at the end. However, rape of major characters, including a child, are pretty major themes throughout the book and will be discussed in my review.

This is my favorite in the series so far. I’ve always enjoyed Luna as the skilled and take no flack operative secondary character. Opposites attract & fake relationship relationship tropes are really well done here when Luna goes semi-undercover as Ouray’s love interest to discover who is murdering and stealing guns.

I loved Ouray and Luna individually and as a couple. Both are over 40 and figure their lives are just what they are. However, fake dating turns into so much more for them. I really liked how understanding and supportive Ouray is when he learns Luna was the victim of a sexual assault during college.

While Ouray respects her skills, Luna has to hide her normally commanding personality to the often misogynistic culture of Motorcycle Clubs in order to fit in. It creates a really unique dynamic. I liked how they worked together to uncover who is behind the weapons trafficking.

Add in a orphaned teen, found family, and several action packed scenes and this was the perfect romantic suspense for me. I loved the epilogue too.

Narration:
Casting for this series continues to be spot on. Sebastian York’s deep, gravely voice is a great match for Ouray’s personality. I really enjoyed Brooke Hayden’s Luna - contrasting the strong and vulnerable perfectly.

Once again, Freya Barker has taken her special writing talent and woven a story of polar opposites and intrigue into an amazing story with a more than satisfying HEA. The characters of the Rock Point series have become old friends and wormed themselves into my reader brain and heart. Luna has always been a bit of an enigma, with her curt mannerisms and the unique relationship with Keith Blackfoot of the Durango PD. Always the by the book FBI agent, she is unprepared when her butt ends up on the local MC leader's bike undercover. Sparks have flown since Ouray's introduction in Cabin 12 and rapidly the lines are blurred between the job and real feelings.
Unlike most MCs I've read, Ouray's club has been legit for years, but not everyone was or is happy with that development. Add in a young boy with a disability, taken in by the MC, and Luna and Ouray have their hands full. As with most of Ms. Barker's stories, as the reader peels back the layers, the backstory is brought to light and painful secrets are revealed. I love the characters that she writes are more mature and know their hearts and minds without playing games. Her characters are well-developed and her intricate plot lines are so well thought out, there is never a subplot left hanging. Grab this book and kick back with your favorite beverage and enjoy!

Ahhh!!! Back in La Plata County!!!! I have been so ready for Luna’s story!!!!

Let me start: My first book from Ms. Barker was Keeping 6, which I devoured in a matter of days and immediately picked up Cabin 12....both recommendations from a friend.

When given the opportunity to read HWY 550, I jumped at the chance! We are introduced to Luna in Cabin 12; I didn’t think she had a story but I was fooled!

I love a great book where the heroine can hold her own when up against strong men and Luna was more than capable! But wait.....she comes up against a strong, ALPHA biker, Ouray (Little side note, love his name!!!), who wants nothing more to peel back the layers that Luna has built around her heart. Is he determined!!!!!

Ouray may be a rough biker dude....but, oh when he says things.....I just want to swoon!!!!

Oh Lordy.....I love nothing better than a bad ass biker with a heart of gold. Seriously.....I'm swooning.

Luna is a loner, tough as nails FBI agent that's married to her job. Don't let her petite size fool you. She will LAY YOU OUT.

Ouray is chief of the Arrow's Head MC. He's 48, single and lives his life by his rules. He loves his MC family. He has pulled them out of their darker days and has the MC on the right track. Unfortunately, there are things happening and he's asked to help in an FBI investigation.....Asked to help Luna investigate.

There's something special about all of Ms Barkers books. They aren't just an amazing romance book. They have suspense, twists and turns you try (and usually fail) to figure out and so much heart. HWY 550 is exactly what you would expect it to be. Addictive....Fast paced....Full of surprises....and so damn good. Loved it!!!

Wow! This series just keeps getting better and better! I adore this Rock Point series with its alpha men and strong, smart heroines. I had pretty high expectations going into this one, having so loved the other books in this series. I was not disappointed. Ouray is a hero who is a rough-around-the-edges, gruff MC President of the local biker club. Luna is an FBI agent, bad ass heroine. They were the perfect match. The suspense plot was intriguing and kept me turning the pages way past my bedtime. The villain(s?) in the story arc surprised me. And delighted me that I was surprised. I have been a huge fan of Ms. Barkers for several years. I can always count on a well-written story, sweet, steamy romance and a heart-warming HEA. Great romantic suspense? Right here, people.

Freya Barker does another stellar job with her latest in the Rock Point Series, HWY 550. As if I couldn’t possibly swoon any more over her ever-growing list of male leads who check off every single box in my book boyfriend world, she goes ahead and kicks it up a notch and creates Ouray, president of Arrow’s Edge MC.

I love MC romance books and HWY 550, specifically, would definitely be included in that genre. It just so happens that our FBI friends and local PD from the two books prior in this incredible series, Keeping Six and Cabin 12, find themselves looking for those responsible for a string of robberies that could be connected to the MC.

Enter FBI agent Luna Roosberg. This pint-sized, sassy, badass, firecracker of an agent could kick anyone’s ass in a fight or with her sharp tongue. Luna has been an intriguing side character in Freya’s past books, and I’m so glad she’s finally gotten her own story. I had more laughs with this book as Luna goes undercover and completely out of her comfort zone when she takes off her proper FBI wear and morphs into a hot-looking biker chick.

Well, that did more than catch the attention of Ouray. This is where the fun begins. Luna is a woman who constantly fights to erase the stigma of a woman in a “man’s job.” Believe me, she does it spectacularly, but the biker world is much the same, which doesn’t sit well AT ALL with Luna. The banter back and forth between the bikers, their prez, and Luna is priceless.

Little by little, Ouray and Luna become civil to one another the more she understands the MC world and he respects her position and drive to do her job to its fullest. Ouray confides club business to her, which is an absolute MC no-no, and I had to remind myself that Luna needs this info for the investigation. While Luna emmerses herself into clubhouse life and learns more about the club members and their brotherhood, Freya adds a homeless boy to the story who is deaf and taken in by the MC. This act of kindness has been done before by the club, blurring the lines of how society passes judgement on those considered good or bad. The boy, Cody, quickly finds his way into Luna and Ouray’s hearts.

HWY 550 is simply another work of art from Freya Barker’s collection literary treasures. There are so many layers to the storyline as well as the characters. Sometimes the heroes of her books are those least expected. Ouray and Luna fight to do the right thing but it doesn’t come easy. Nothing worth fighting for ever does. Freya does an incredible job making two characters from opposite sides of the law come together, fall in love, and find their own kind of perfect.

Another outstanding read by my favorite word-spinner, the queen of suspense, sassy women, and the hot alpha men who love them. Freya Barker always leaves me wanting more, and she never disappoints. I highly recommend HWY 550. Five stars for me❤️
I received this ARC for an honest review, and honest it certainly is.

Special Agent Luna Roosberg might be a pint-sized blonde blue-eyed doll but she's tough as nails. A string of robberies of pharmacies may be linked to a motorcycle club so she agrees to go undercover as the club chief's new girlfriend.

Ouray is the chief of the Arrow's Edge MC, since he took control he has steered the club away from guns and drugs and into legitimate businesses like the boxing club, property rentals and even a yoga studio. He knows Luna is only here for her job but the sparks are definitely flying and at 50 years old he knows to grab hold of what he wants.

I'm not a fan of MC romances and this one skirted the edges for me, I get that Luna had to wear sexy clothes in order to seem authentic as Ouray's latest squeeze but it still grated that a woman has to change her whole appearance to please a man. I also detest the way that favoured women are referred to as a man's 'Old Lady'. But those are my personal gripes about the genre.

Overall, Freya Barker delivers yet another of her trademark slightly angsty, over 40, romances featuring characters who have overcome adversity and a dash of suspense. I just love her novels and no sooner finished this one than I downloaded another. A go-to author for me.

HWY 550 is the third book in the Rock Point series and this time the spotlight is firmly on Luna & Ouray. We’ve met both characters briefly in previous books and both leaving you knowing that there is a story to be told, and what a story it is. Luna has always come across as reserved, closed off, but when she meets Ouray you can feel the sparks starting between them. Thrown together in a professional capacity the sparks very soon catch and the flames are hot!
All your favourites are here and the close relationship that Luna has with Keith Blackfoot is explained. Add a very troubled child into the mix and you see a totally different side to Luna.
As with all of Freya Barkers books, the characters are so well written, the story lines sweep you up and carry you along with them. I read this in 2 sittings and didn’t want to put it down
For me - Freya’s best Book

Luna Roosberg..I love that woman! Bad@ss FBI agent with a touch of innocence..( you’ll get it when you read it) who has to go undercover to investigate a string of Armed robberies going on.
Ouray..love that man! Even though he was very Alpha and very protective, he knew how he should handle his relationship with Luna.
And Cody aka Ahiga...I soooo wanted to hug him.❤️
The storyline, the suspense and all the characters new and others we already knew were awesome.

Hwy 550 is another book in Freya Barker's Rock Point Series. You might as well get ready to fall in love the President of the Arrow's Edge MC. There is no way there is not something that everyone who reads this book will not love. You actually will proably drull...A Lot. This is a story of bad butt biker meets undercover agent and he didn''t have a choice in the matter since some crimes going on are point right at him. So he puts her on the back of her bike and their fake relationship in front of the guys begins. Luna is a very serious agent but she has this sassy. firecracker, who knows how to take care of hrsel. However she is really out of her element when she is assigned to go undercover with a MC .It is not long before the chemistry between the two is obvious and explossive. I loved this stoy.

I’ve been waiting for Luna’s story but I never could have predicted what it was going to be. She is fire when it comes to her job and standing up for herself or those she cares about. However, there is a side of her that is damaged and broken. A part that she never shares. Until Ouray. And holy heck, he was absolutely the one person that could show her a different way.

I loved how tender this rough and tough biker could be. He had already shown his strength leading his club into a better path. I really liked that he could be protective over Luna but also respected her independence and abilities enough to let her stand on her own.

Within all the romance and danger is a storyline regarding a young boy that literally broke my heart to read it. I loved that Luna was able to bond with him in a way others were not. This is actually filled with a whole cast of characters that are easy to love and cheer on. Definitely my favorite of the series.

May be read as a standalone

HWY 550 by Freya Barker
Rock Point #3

Oh my! Loved this one just as I have loved every other book I have read by this author!!! Why? Well, the stories are GOOD and the characters are people I can relate to as they are not silly young people with simple issues but complex, well developed more mature people with real issues to contend with. They are people I would love to meet and get to know and I can see myself IN the scenes...or at least on the fringes.

This book has romance, suspense, a mystery, action, robbery, violence, murder and a motorcycle club that has gone legitimate but in doing so has made some enemies. With Luna (FBI) working undercover and the sparks between her and the president of the Arrow’s Edge MC anything can happen...and some really great things do!

I loved strong-willed feisty intelligent Luna Roosberg and her interactions with Ouray (Mark Strongbow) had me eager to see what would happen next. Talk about sizzle and steam and communication and caring and sharing and giving and...well...I was entranced and would have LOVED to have been Luna a few times in this book! Throw in the side story of Cody and the MC members and the mystery to be solved and this was a book I could not put down once I started reading it. I did see a few people I hope to hear more about in the future and do hope they will get stories of their own at some point in the future. I definitely loved this book from beginning to end and look forward to whatever book comes next!

Thank you to the author for the ARC – This is my honest review.

HWY 550
(Rock Point #3)
Written by: Freya Barker
Narrated by: Sebastian York & Brooke Hayden

I feel like I know most of these people in person! This being audiobook #3 for me, it is like old home week with everyone connected to Freya Barker’s La Plata County FBI series.

HWY 550 is Luna and Ouray’s story. Luna is a strong woman, she can kick butt like most men can in a fight. She’s tough and she keeps to herself. She also carries a secret that she has share with very few people. Luna’s been assigned to keep an eye on the Arrow’s Edge MC and her boss feels the best way to do this is to set her up as the old lady to the head of the local MC. Ouray had exposure to Luna in Book 2 and if she listens to him and do what he says he thinks they might pull this off, but then this is Luna who goes in blind ready to take prisoners!

Narrators Sebastian York and Brook Hayden do a great job, taking Freya Barker’s words and pulling listeners into the story. With Sebastian York’s voice taking listeners through the story from Ouray’s POV, to Brook Hayden’s portrayal of Luna and her POV it is easy to spend time taking this story in.

As has been one draw to me in this series is these characters are all in their late 30’s to mid 40’s. Everyone has experienced life and for many, life has not been easy for them. Until Freya introduced them to the perfect person for them. Readers/listeners are the people who win with this author and these narrators. A strong writer giving us strong characters and the right narrators to make these books an easy read/listen.

I simply loved this story, it has it all, drama, family and a great suspense story. The flow is perfect, keeps you guessing and also watching a new family unit evolve before your eyes.

My favourite part of the way the author told her story was the fact that both Luna and Ouray were given an equal share of the limelight, it allowed you to become attached to both characters and follow them breaking down each other's barriers. They knew each other already at the start of the story so it is believable, both their chemistry and attraction.

Ahiga as a character helped connect Ouray and Luna further and make them as adults care for another person and put them first. He gave this story a beautiful sense of family and also showed Ouray and how he helps his community. Momma was another character I enjoyed and provided humour and was lovely with Ahiga.

This story just made me feel so happy and fulfilled at the end. I actually have read book 1 and now book 3 of this series, you can read them as stand-alone.

I loved this book so much! Luna is a wonderful character, with a backstory and personal historythat just breaks your heart. She's fierce, strong, smart and sassy, but her vulnerability is the best part of her personality. Ouray is a fantastic, alpha man with a heart of gold and the personality to match. He lives to rile up Luna with his macho remarks and suggestions, yet you know immediately that Luna does something to him that he's never experienced before in all his 48 years. She offers him contentment and a glimpse at a happy future.
One of the best things about Freya Barker's books and her main characters is the maturity she imbues them with throughout the story. There's angst, sadness, stream, unexpected joy, doubt and action, yet her characters are realistic for their ages in both action and motivation. The author never allows the plot or her characters devolve into drama-lamas or stupidity. They reason, they may rant at times, yet they never turn into whiny babies or revert to high school antics.
The slow build is wonderful, as Freya breathes life and beauty into the story and her characters. I especially loved watching Luna grow into the confident woman who finally allows herself to enjoy life to the fullest, and embrace her sexuality and womanhood with joy and a hint of wonder!

A romance book featuring a bada$$ FBI agent and a MC president, talk about a story I wanted to read! We get snippets of Luna and Ouray in the previous two books, but Hwy 550 can definitely be read as a standalone.

I loved Luna so much! In the beginning you see her as this tough as nails FBI agent who can take down bikers, but she also has this vulnerability side and you know there is so much more to her. Then in comes Ouray, the MC president of Arrow’s Edge, you can see the sparks immediately. Something about Luna makes Ouray want to get a rise out of her and he’s having fun with it. Luna feels the attraction but wants nothing to do with him. She has a painful past that resulted in building a wall around her and she definitely wanted to keep Ouray out. Unfortunately for her, a local case puts them both in close proximity and that spark definitely catches fire!

Ouray is the typical alpha male and being the President of a MC that would definitely add to that, but he too has a softer side. And he shows it with how he is with Luna and what they do for the stray children in their community. When Ouray first took the gavel, he changed the whole dynamic of the Arrow’s Edge motorcycle club, he worked hard to make the club legit, but it came with some consequences.

This whole book was so great from start to finish, the chemistry between Luna and Ouray is hot but with gentleness and so much emotions inter-twined. The secondary characters are fascinating and are just as wonderful, I adored Cody and Jack. It was also so great to see the characters from the previous books and I loved the reason for the close relationship between Keith Blackfoot and Luna. The suspense storyline definitely kept me on my toes. Loved it all!

The second book of this series that I have had the pleasure of getting sucked into. At what point do I just go back to the first book of the series and read it to make the journey complete or to the least connect on a deeper level. There are some layered characters with depth, soul, and heart. Cabin 12 stole me with the strength and determination of the main character along with their supporting staff. I find myself no less captivated by the new main characters (Luna and Ouray). Let me say that the mix of the good and bad guys, or at least the appearance of bad guy, have me turning page after page. I got lost watching just how they made their lives blend while working to find the truth behind all that was going on.

This one was a heavy hitter with action, drama, suspense, romance, bad boys, and bad boyz.

I didn't think I'd enjoy this as much as the other books. The MC felt a little far out as a plot for me but surprise... I loved it.

Great humor and so many good quotes you can't remember them all. Really I wish I could. The writing was spot on.

Special Agent Luna Roosberg is my new book girlfriend. I loved how she finally opened up with her friends. I think we've all had that moment. I just loved her.

I loved the family they grew into... sighhhhhhh

Ready to read book 4 back to La Plata County for the next adventure.

I swear there’s some sort of magic in Freya Barker’s writing. It doesn’t matter which book it is, I always find myself quickly addicted and devouring it only to wish it never ended. HWY 550 is no exception to that. Throughout Luna and Ouray’s story there’s nail biting suspense with an unraveling mystery that will keep you guessing taking an already epic romance up to the next level when it comes to being unputdownable.
And about that romance, holy swoon Batman! Both Ouray and Luna are two of my favorite characters to date. There was much more to Luna than I expected after meeting her previously. Underneath that tough bas@#$ exterior she’s hiding a loving heart. She was a joy to read and I loved seeing her blossom into an even stronger woman who wasn’t afraid to truly be herself as she fell in love with Ouray and his family of bikers. Ouray is the biker book boyfriend everyone dreams about. While he’s all Alpha, he’s also all heart. Gentle when needed, patient and kind in ways you will never expect. I’m not sure who fell harder for him me or Luna. When you put the two of them together with the electric chemistry they have it sweeps you right off your feet and has you floating on cloud nine. But more than just blissful swoon these two have a relationship that goes much deeper, touching on emotional subjects that while breaking your heart also bring hope with how those moments are overcome.

Luna kicks butt and takes names, she doesn't play. For being a tough female she has a soft spot.
I haven't read the other two books in the series, you don't really need to. Once I read about Luna and Ouray, I really want to. You see characters from those books in their story.
I do have to say, besides an MC romance, there was some mystery. I thought I knew who was blackmailing Ouray, then boom my pick went out the window.
What I loved is that Ouray was patient with Luna, with her personal background, he waited.
If you've read the other two books in this series, you'll want to read this book as well.

I love books with strong female characters, especially when they're a little bit broken too. Luna was a great female lead and I've been wanting Ouray's since the character was introduced.

What we get here is world's colliding and opposites attracting. But can it work in the long haul? This book has a wonderful blend of characters, suspenseful moments and some page melting scenes. If you're like me you'll want to read faster but have the story last longer. Great read

Some heavy topics are addressed in this romantic suspense, but done in a manner that drives home the egregious acts that are horrendous to think about while still presenting an enjoyable and often times funny reading or listening experience depending on how you approach the book. There is plenty of spicy heat to keep you intrigued as well if that is what you are looking for. I went the audiobook route and the dual narration brings all the characters to life in the book in an interesting way and helps connect you to the characters on a deeper level. I am thoroughly enjoying this series and look forward to the next.

I was gifted an ARC for an honest review

We Met Luna back in Damian & Kerry’s book, and I knew, knew she was a bad ass.
Then we learned more in each book, nothing could’ve prepared me for Luna’s story,
She’s been through hell, but had a hard time trusting, enter Ouray, the man who has intrigued, yet pissed off Luna.
I love the two of these people together, just a little pushing from her fellow agents/friends too.
Enter a young boy who both Ouray and Luna fall in love with.
The suspense, the story is amazing, kept me on my toes. I can’t wait for everyone to read this one.

“So it doesn’t take a lot for me to know when what’s in front of me is exactly what I’ve been holding out for” ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Once again freya Barker produces a well written engaging storyline. Plot was well thought out and the protagonists are people who have had life shape them and still find the strength and courage to adapt and change. Will pre order my own copy (lucky enough to gain access to an earlier read ).

I have fallen in love with Freya Barker’s writing style – her books are relatable, sedate, and subtle which end up bringing peace to my soul.

I had been looking forward to Luna’s HEA ever since we got a glimpse of her stubborn attitude in Burning for Autumn (Read My Review) – but most of all, because the little tidbit we did get showed that her’s would be one of my favorite tropes of all times; that if “opposites attract”.

Luna is a petite Special Agent with the FBI with “her” size chip on the shoulder – her size and gender had made sure that she has had the “pleasure” o prove her worth more than any other male agent. And can I say that she does so resplendently!

Ouray, the biker President gets on Luna’s nerves – mostly because there is an unwilling attraction to this rough, alpha, possessive, outlaw male that she just doesn’t understand nor is willing to explore.

When an undercover operation puts them in close quarters – proximity is exactly what pulls down the wall of misconception they had about each other.

Luna is exactly the kind of heroine I adore reading about – a certified, strong, brilliant, bad – ass woman who took no prisoner and made no apologies for who and what she is and my respect for her just grew when I was confronted with the past she has worked hard to overcome.

Ouray, on the other hand, who took hold my heart, right from the start – this tough, possessive and protective alpha biker with a soft heart knew exactly what his “sprite” needed from him and he knew it instinctively – he could claim this strong woman as his, yet understand that she is no damsel in distress or a waif – and in the process becomes her rock and support!

The only thing was that I needed a confrontation or rather a showdown with the boogeyman from Luna’s past – but that is the witch in me who never forgives nor forgets *shrugs*

Luna and Ouray’s romances is one that gives me hope – hope that even though I read multitude of romances; there are some that do and can end up making me feel at peace at soul deep level.

Y'all I have been DYING for Luna's story ever since I finished Cabin 12 (Book 2 in this incredible series). And HWY 550 did NOT disappoint. This story literally has everything you could ever want - suspense, bikers, good guys, bad guys disguised as good guys and HEAT. SO MUCH HEAT!

Story Line: So, we met Luna in the previous Rock Point book as the gorgeous special agent. We caught enough of a glimpse of her in Cabin 12 that I knew I would be chomping at the bit until I got my hands on her story. She's spunky, tough as nails, but also has the sweetest side to her. I love that contrast so much. Then there's Ouray. He's an MC president whose path crosses Luna's when an investigation needs some slick undercover help. Insert Luna AND Ouray. You can make your assumptions about what they need to do, but what I didn't see coming was how much FIRE burns between these two. I mean, their chemistry is off the charts hot. Now, before I go into too much detail about that, I will tell you a few more details about the story line. You will fall head over heals for this motorcycle club. Not everyone, if you know what I mean, but the majority of these guys are big ol' teddy bears and I love it. Plus there's Momma and Cody... and yes, my heart wants to explode.

Interaction: Ouray is pure alpha. I mean, he's an MC president for crying out loud. So I was super skeptical about how well he would click with Luna. Especially considering how "will take charge" her attitude is. But holy moly, they clicked into place like two long lost puzzle pieces. Ouray allows Luna to be her independent self, yet still has his hand on her shoulder in case she would ever need him. There's a scene where they are sparing to teach moves and what not, and it ended up being one of my favorite scenes of Freya's. There's a blind fold, and things whispered in her ear... yeah. It was hot and totally wicked.

Laundry: I never know what to expect with Freya's books when it comes to laundry. That's not a bad thing, so don't go saying I'm talking ill of our queen. I'm just saying sometimes her books have some sinful laundry in them. And sometimes they have a deliciously slow burn. What category did HWY 550 fall into? Well it's not a slow burn, that's for darn sure. And Luna and Ouray don't hold back, at all. This book may just be the book to finally cut the cord and let the hubs get a motorcycle. Because these two just solidified that biker laundry is a class all of its own.

Depth: These Rock Point books do not disappoint when it comes to depth. There is so much more to their story lines than two people falling hard for each other. Luna and Ouray are up to their eyeballs in this investigation and undercover business. There's two characters in particular that throw a MASSIVE wrench in the story that I swear to God, I never saw coming. No joke, I stopped reading and silently applauded Freya for throwing me so far off the scent with this one. And the epilogue? It could not be more perfect. It was the perfect ending to the perfect book. And I would by lying if I said I didn't shed a few tears for this amazing happily ever after.

Luna is a fierce FBI Agent with a well-earned chip on her shoulder and the ability to take on men twice her size. Ouray is the Chief of the local MC, The Arrow's Edge, and the two have verbally sparred in the past. There's something about the tiny spitfire that Ouray likes, but he's pretty sure the feeling isn't mutual. When she's tasked with going undercover as Ouray's new old lady, though, those sparks immediately catch fire. What will his club do when they find out he's brought in a fed to their midst without telling them? And what about when the case is over and she walks away from the feelings that soon develop between the two of them?

I really liked Hwy 550. Luna and Ouray are an intriguing couple, especially considering they're not in their early 20s (both are in their 40s I believe). Their chemistry is hot and their personalities complement each other perfectly. The suspense and mystery of the case keep the story grounded, and tie everything in without overwhelming the developing relationship. I am definitely looking forward to more of this series, and more from this author in general.

HWY 550 is the 3rd book in the Rock Point series. The spotlight this time is firmly on Luna & Ouray. We’ve met both characters for a brief time in previous books and in those books, you knew that there was a story begging to be told, and wow what an awesome story it is. Hwy 550 can definitely be read as a standalone.
You get to see Luna as her tough, independent FBI agent but then we get her softer side...there is so much more to her than the by the book stern FBI agent. Then in comes Ouray, the MC president of Arrow’s Edge and you can literally see come off the pages sparks immediately. Something about Luna makes Ouray want to just pick at her to get a rise and he all for having fun . Luna feels the attraction but she doesn't want anything to do with him. Luna has this painful past had her building a wall around her to keep the pain away and she wanted to keep Ouray out. Unfortunately for her, a local case puts them in close proximity and that spark builds until it just sparks a huge fire! In
Luna and Ouray’s story there’s massive nail biting suspense with this thrilling mystery that will keep you guessing until the very end; then add a breathtaking romance that just goes to the next level when it comes swoon-worthy kind. I enjoyed seeing previous characters that made an appearance and the twists and turns that kept me hooked. Great HEA.
